About the Job
Accelerated Home Health Care is seeking compassionate and reliable Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) to provide personal care and supportive services to patients in their homes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed professional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Assist with transfers, ambulation, and use of assistive devices (walker, cane, wheelchair)
- Support range-of-motion exercises, repositioning, and turning to prevent pressure injuries.
- Monitor and report basic vital signs and changes in patient condition to supervising staff.
- Perform light housekeeping including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with agency policies and regulations.
- Follow all care plans, safety guidelines, infection control procedures, and HIPAA requirements.
Minimum Certification & Licensing Requirements:
- Current Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification (state-approved).
- Completion of required state and agency onboarding/credentialing.
- Up-to-date TB test.
- Reliable transportation preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Home Health Aide, Hospice Aide, or CNA.
- Experience with hospice or terminally ill patients (if applicable).
- CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- Care provided in patients’ homes; travel between clients may be required.
- Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
- Physical demands include lifting, bending, standing, and assisting with mobility.
